I revised my discussion of S. 17, one of the poems that was supplemented by the recently published 'discoveries' (aka scraps of Sappho's poetry purchased on the black market for antiquities).  My primary reason for revising my discussion is because of how S. 17 can be shown to be relevant to an interpretation of Christian trinitarian theology. It is relevant in particular to Moltmann's characterization of the trinity, which as he acknowledges, derives from a rather brief discussion of the issue in a sermon by Gregory of Nazianzus.  Admittedly it is just a fragment, a spark, but that is how fires start.
